Hello People,

OK, so I FINALLY got my Dell 30" and there are no dead pixels which is awesome.

The thing is that I am currently running the 3007 next to my 2405 24" and the 24" looks brighter and the colours more vibrant.

I tried manually tuning the colour setup using mvidia control panel so it is a bit better but still the screen is not as bright as the 24".

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I up-ed the brightness on the monitor itself to max, played around with the settings in nvidia's control panel and still nothing.

The gpu is the XFX one in my sig. Its a 7800GTX so I know it supports the monitor...hence the reason why I get max resolution.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank u so much:confused:

larger monitors lose colors when compared to smaller monitors.

Could you take a picture so we can visualize it a little better?

Does that monitor have a OSD menu system? My 2005FPW has one and you can set warm/cool colors, along with a few other color settings.

There might be something on this in the Dell forums.( Although I didn't find anything that matches)

I dont think degausing works on lcd monitors

Of course your right Nautica, Factory reset would be more appropriate.

Hi People,

OK, so I re-installed my drivers cleanly and spent sometime going through the config of the 3007.

For some reason, the 2405 only needs a minor tweak but the 3007 needs so much done to it just to get it to the same level.

I used several different pictures to get it tuned the way I want, also some avi's from some of the series I watch.

Took me ages but finally got there.

I think the image sharpening setting was causing me problems...

Thank u everyone for replying...

Seeing the 24 next to the 30...the 30 is just HUGE....oh my god and the desktop space...on the 30 I can watch a film, browse the net and have all mbm, etc all on the screen at the same time and still see the desktop parts...and working in securecrt or word is just awesome...totally luv this screen:-)

It might not have the inputs of the 2405/7 but for desktop space....it is just awesome...the most kool-est thing though it watching HD trailers, etc and seeing the how small the HD res actually is!!!

Sell your 2407 and buy two 2007s with the money you get and do this
