just got my 2407fpw whats the newest revision i have a a00 is that good or bad and when i first went into cs:source it had some crazy crap were it started to cut boxes out of it small boxes and they were white i dont know if its my monitor but i think it might have soemthing with my verticle disabled

There is a thing called periods. USE THEM. Jeezus how old are you?


And yes, rev a00 is the old revision with the banding issues. You need revision A02.

Sorry i wrote that in a hurry when i was leaving. I bought a 2407fpw from a guy on the forums and he advertised that it was a a02 and when i put the cd that came with the monitor in it says revision: a00. Is there a large difference? What exactly is color banning? Should i do something about this?

Look on the back of the monitor where there is the serial number and stuff and it will tell yout the revision. I wouldt just go by what the CD says.

The CD may have been an older version, check the numbers on the back of the LCD for the revision/part/serial numbers.

As for the white blocks, it may help to know what video card you are using, and what connection that you are using (DVI or VGA), what resolution, the drivers you are using for your video card.

well it hasnt done it recently. i was using vga when it happened and im playing with a 7800gt. im pretty sure it was because i was with more fps than the monitor could handle.

weres the revision and serial number and stuff is it were you latch in the stand?

There should be a sticker or something that has the S/N and Revision.

Do you guys think that DELL is still shipping the A00 revision?? I am getting mine right now, want to make sure I get the A02...
