dell LCD versus others -performance?

i have my eyes on the dell "UltraSharp 2007WFP 20.1-inch Widescreen" monitor. are there other monitors that are of same size that are priced below that one? or is DELL pretty much the best way to go for that size? i think that 390 is a little steep for me, but if the performance is worth it, i have no problem ordering one as soon as this weekend. i am under the assumption that maybe because its a dell it might be priced higher than other brands of same size and performance.

i dont want to sacrfice performance though on a cheaper monitor. i CAN buy it but shopping around before ordering it.

i DID look around the board before posting the thread and really found nothing to compare it to. sorry for the repost if it is. if there is a thread similar to this ill be more than glad to visit it if a link is posted.

It's definitely a great monitor...I don't think you'll find a better one for the price.

And $390 is a great deal...it's normally around $470

The 2007FPW is a good bang for the buck, call Dell and ask them for thier best price.

I negotiated with them telling them I had an expired 20% off coupon and they sold it to me for $352 shipped (I saved about $85)

It can't hurt to ask them for their best price, worst they can say is no. But some phone reps can cut you a break if they want to make the sale
