Hi,
I have a 19inch LCD monitor for a computer and an wondering how I can connect my PS2 to it.

My room is very small so there is no space for a regular tv and a LCD TV is priced up the whazoo.

I believe you will need to get a VGA adapter. That way, your red, white, and yellow plug in, and on the other side, a VGA chord comes out and will plug into your monitor.

Pretty sure thats how it works :)

Also, I think there is a way to get your desktop speakers working with the adapter if you want to do that too, but I'm not sure exactly how that works. I'll ask a friend.

yeah, you would only use the red and white for your speakers, if you wanted to do that.

I've seen folks use video capture cards for things like this, for instance the UltraTV 1500 PCI has RCA composite video with audio, as well as a RF and SVHS input... should work out nicely.

I bought an ATi TV Wonder Pro to run my Xbox 360 the same way Goshawk explained. Personally, I'd just directly connect to the monitor and get a REGULAR TV Tuner for just TV. Theres a good half second to a full second of lag on the video with mine and it makes it insanely difficult to play games with that much lagg. Heres what you should do: get a VGA converter for S-Video (better than RCA Video, but you can still do RCA if you don't want to spend the extra $$$; note that RCA is referring to the Yellow cable :P) and connect the VGA converted video cable into the monitor. As for the audio, go to radioshack or some other electronics place and pick up a cord that has the red and white FEMALE RCA connectors which merge into a regular speaker jack (1/8 I think, I forget off hand) and just plug that into your Line In port on your computer. When you want to play: just enable the Line In port and switch the monitor over.
