broken LCD

I have a LCD screen that when I power it on, it stays on for about 5 seconds, then turns off. the power doesn't go off, just the screen goes black, like the backlight turned off. Any1 fix this issue before. I know it will require opening the monitor. I assume its a backlight/inverter problem.

You could shine a flashlight through the rear of the screen (or even at the front of it on an angle) and see if the lcd is still displaying images. Then you'll know for sure that it's the inverter/backlight. Good luck!
