Hey Everyone,
I need some advice on a new LCD. I have been doing a lot of searching and just can't find anything that fits the bill so here it is. I would like something in the 23 - 27" roughly. I was really dead set on the Dell 2407FPW until recently as I have also been reading a lot of people have problems with them and scaling. I have also read that they don't support 1080p which is something that bums me out. So I need help finding a monitor that can do these things in the sub $1000 range if possible and MAX of $1500.
Gaming is a big thing for me even though I don't have much time for it anymore :(
Crystal clear picture
1080p for movies
lots of inputs specifically DVI-D (HDCP), s-video, possibly component and HDMI although those 2 aren't needed atm but maybe for future expansion.
can scale to lower resolutions and still look great or can keep it 1:1 and add borders (borders dont bother me too much as i run everything at least 1600x1200 as it is anyways) I plan on keeping this monitor for a good 3 years so I want to get the right one.
Thanks in advance for any insight that can be had.
