okay well i got a bunch of spare money so i want a new monitor. Seeing as my old 15" LCD is really old i was looking towards a 19inch.
I really have not picked out a monitor in a long time so i don't know what is reliable or what not.
I want something with component rca however(so i can play ps2 as well.)
I will probably be buying locally, maybe this week. So can anyone suggest a "good" monitor from http://www.memoryexpress.com
thanks

Well all you need is one with a DVI and VGA input as you cang et component to VGA adapters for cheap.
this one is pretty decent and not that expensive:

This one a little more, tad bigger, and has component inputs built in.

I've personaly had good luck with viewsonic CRT's and think they're a good company...so I would get the viewsonic since it's cheaper and component to VGA adapters are cheap as dirt.

You can search around and try to find a male VGA to female component and not use those adapters.

okay thats sweet, i asked about that before but no one had an idea. Any suggestions for something a little cheaper? I was looking for $300 and under( i know its limiting).
Although i really appreciatte the other adapter thingey, helps me out a lot.
edit ya, having those adapters eliminates having any special addons on the monitor, so any good one you find that's a "decent" deal would do great

Wouldn't you lose some image quality using a converter, like that VGA-->component one you speak of? I was always under the impression that going from a lower-end video(or audio) type interface to a higher one will result in loss of quality. Kind of like if you run component cable from your DVD player to you TV, but it doesn't have component inputs, so you convert it to RCA or coax.
Just as a side note, I have a 19" Gateway widescreen LCD monitor (HD) that I just bought a few weeks ago with our new computer. The monitor was sold seperately at B#$t Buy for $229. It came with speakers, but I don't use them b/c I had my own. The monitor itself I am quite happy with and I am particular since I do a lot of gaming. The max res is: 1440x900 @60Hz, so its not too bad at all.

well benq has one that's 335

I really recommend going the extra mile for a 20" over a 19" widescreen. The difference from 1680x1050 compared to 1440x900 res is pretty nice.
Again, I'd still get the viewsonic for 35 more as I trust the build quality of viewsonic better, but if you can see these in store before you buy definetly do that.
*edit* crossed, you won't lose any IQ with VGA to component, I'm pretty sure it's the same signal. Where you lose IQ is going from VGA or component to composite!
