Hello
I got a Gigabyte 8itx mb and a p4 478 pin at 1.6ghz and i need some help on how i can increase my cpu voltage with the above mb(dosnt support it from the bios or from dip switces).I have found the wire pin trick for the cpu http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/p4mod/ but i got it in pictures only for the 423 pin release of p4,so i get the data sheets of my cpu from intel but its a litlle bit confusing about me all this mess with pin of 478 p4 so ill be greatfull if some1 know some way (detailed) to get my voltage up .

Thank you

Sorry its a bit later as promised, but here ya go.

The pic is kind of a mess, but it should do.
I'll try to explain how and what:
In the "Processor Pins" table: 1 stands for 'open' (not connected to Vss), 0 stands for 'closed' (Internally connected to Vss). You cant cut the wire internally so there's only one option, and that is connecting VID2 to Vss, this will get you 1.850V.

The closest Vss pin is 'AD4' but as there's not much space I don't recommend that you connect it to this pin.

But all the other VID pins (VID4,VID3,VID1 and VID0) are already connected to Vss, so you could connect VID2 to any other VID pin.

If you look at the pic you'll see that I've chosen to connect it with VID3, but VID1 would do as well, Because I don't have a P4 (yet:D ) I cant tell you which one would be easier, as there are two ways to do it.
Method 1=Pin wrapping method
Method 2=Pinhole method (recommended)(Go here (http://www.overclockers.com/tips630/index03.asp) for more info).

I hope this cleared things up a bit.
If you have questions post them or PM/E-Mail me.
Good Luck
