A friend of mine is wanting to get a large LCD Screen for his PC for gaming and whatnot & has been looking for something bigger then 24" yet 30" or less, he's thinking the sweet spot would be about 28" or so yet he can't find any around that size and honestly I did some quick looking myself and didn't find anything.

I saw some 30" Screens on Dells site but they where for Dell PC's only.

It doesn't need speakers or anything like that since it will do him absolutely no good as he is deaf.

Thanks...

The dell screens will work with any PC, you just need a nice GPU to run stuff on it in high quality.

You dont need a dell pc to run the dell 30" I think all you need is a dual DVI card

think that would be fine for this monitor?? I'm think to have everything cranked up a bit with Eye candy he'll need a better one.

The 24 doesn't need dual dvi so it would be fine with that card for desktop work.
For gaming it would probably strain a bit I think, resolution being 1920x1200

If you are willing to wait a little while, Dell is coming out with a 27" widescreen, which is closer to the sweet spot you wanted. Link to story (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=1466)
