Any opinions on which is better? Used primarily for gaming, long sessions sometimes!! Was going to get a VX922 but then noticed this other lcd with a 2ms response time, hence the question.

Thanks in advance!!!

I think the Viewsonic is the better monitor and Samsung has exxagerated the response time. Just somethin' I read.

i hear 2ms responce time are calculated as going from gray to another gray. so wtf does that prove, nothing!

most ms values are black to white. i may be wrong with these moniters, but its somthign to investigate

EDIT: the viewsonic lists 2ms G2G, guess what that means. what a useless value!

(please burn me if i am incorrect mr lcd dude)

well I've read a lot of info on LCD's and their latency values. GTG is actually a much more "real world" test in the respect that your monitor often does not go from Black to white.. usually the RGB value is much less of an extreme, and it goes to another color value that is also not an extreme.. thats why a Gray to Gray test is actually pretty relavent indeed. Another thing to be aware of is the lack of a standard when manufacturers report the LCD latency. Some do a Black to white to black test.. others do a black to white.. some do a gray to gray and then back to gray..etc (u get the idea) This makes it hard to really compare monitors strictly on their latency values the manufacturer reports. honesly, both these monitors are low enough in latency that I wouldn't even worry bout it. neither are going to have any ghosting anyway. More importantly, and of interest to me personally, is how they compare as far as spatial uniformity, color accuracy, and how dark the monitor's black level is... i.e. which monitor has a better quality picture
