Hey guys,

I am looking into a 26"-32" LCD TV to double as my computer monitor and TV. I am looking at a native resolution of 1366 x 768, can most games run at this? I forsee me using the LCD about 40% TV viewing, 40% internet browsing, and 20% Gaming. What do you guys think of this idea? I have heard of problems reading text, have these problems been remedied? Also, Do you guys have any recommendations for a particular model? I have been looking at various models by Syntax and maybe Viewsonic. Oh and I am on a budget.

Thanks!

For budget, the syntax models do well.

Many people have happily done this, other people cannot stand it. What monitor do you use currently? I would keep it, and set up a dual monitor operation just in case you find that surfing the internet doesn't sit well on the bigger tv.

i currently have a low budget 17" LCD... Currently I am researching Syntax, WestingHouse, and Sceptre Brands. I am very excited about the possibility of getting a huge screen for games.

I don't think browsing the internet on one of those would be fun, such a low resolution.

well if I dont like it, I can always go back to the 17" screen...

Not everyone likes high resolutions.

1333 x seems like a nice resolution - considering to t is 26" to 32" LCD.

Your best bet would be to find a store that has these in stock, walking and ask to have a computer hooked upt to it, or if you have a laptop or can borrow one take it with you to make sure you can read your text on it.
