Okay on a local craiglist in new jersey a dell 2005fpw being sold with 0 dead pixels for $200. I want to buy it but really have no need since I have a gateway 21'' lcd, should I impulse buy this anyway? Thats seems mad cheap. I would check it out first of course to make sure it is in good shape.. please express your opinions. I have the money and it just seems like a killer deal.

If it sounds like too good of a deal, it probably is.

Hell yea, for $200 I'd be all over it. Get it and run dual 20" widescreens

Thats what I was thinking especially since it is a craigslist, he has his phone number listed and if he allows me to inspect it I think I might buy it.. ugh I don't want to pass this up but should I..

WOW I just called him, he seems like a really nice younger guy. He was very informative and told me it had no issues whatsoever and he was honest and told me he used it heavly but he is ocd and takes care of his electronics. He said he wasn't exactly sure how to price it since it was 6 months old. The reason for selling is that he is moving out of state, and I think I'm going after work today to purchase this monitor.

The only issues with them are backlight bleeding, $200 is a good price though

I bought the monitor and it looks great he let me play counterstrike on it to test it out, there are no dead pixels cosmetically in great shape and its a typical 2005fpw monitor with the overbearing backlight but for $200 it was well worth it!

Question is there anyway to transfer the warranty over?

Wow, lucky catch dude.

I don't think warranties are generally transferable.

I have this monitor side by side with my Gateway FPD2185W 21" and you can definitaley see the size difference. The .9'' does make a difference. Both pictures are crystal clear however I find the dell a little to bright and like how the blacks look better on my gateway, but in all I am extatic that I got this monitor for that cheap!

It was a three hour drive combined going there and back, I spent more than $10 worth of gas =).. glad I made the trip though!
