View Full Version : Need help on a lcd tv/monitor
I'm want some opinions: I plan on getting a 26-27 inch lcd tv to use as a monitor also. Want a hd tuner in the mix too. Been looking at this one really hard: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4529481 the only thing I don't like about it is the 25ms response time. Don't do heavy gaming but wonder what effect the response time will have. Also the other 1 I'm looking at is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889107005 has pc input also on this one and hdmi connections too. Would probably use hdmi on the sanyo. The Viewsonic was $849 2 days ago and is now $709. I wonder why the price has dropped so dramatically.. Looking to spend no more than ~$700..ANy other suggestions would be appreciated also..

Look at the resolution. If you plan to ever use it as a computer monitor, you will kill yourself for not having enough desktop space even though it's 27" big. Basically, you should keep your computer monitor and TV seperate.
I suggest a computer monitor for your computer, and a TV for your TV. Not trying to say it's not possible, because it is, but that you should avoid or because it's not worth it. Just because you can use it, doesn't mean you should or that you will like it.

It's only 21", but it's HDTV 720P capable. $550, you could buy a tuner box with the extra money. It accepts component, DVI, VGA, RCA. It has PiP, even has a little jack for headphones should you want it.
