Currently looking to finally get an LCD monitor since my CRT is starting to stretch like a magnet is next to it and blur.
I am having trouble figuring out what to get.
I am currently leaning towards this (http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/108385) Samsung SM940BF 2ms 700:1, but on all forums and sites I find no reviews or anything at all, maybe one or two people saying it's really great.
Would I be better off paying £230 on a 1500:1 contrast ratio 17" Samsung with probably 12 or 8ms (no idea of model or response time, saw it in a shop with a crap specs description and display looked perfect and bright) or shall I pay £243 (never used ebuyer, my usual site is like £265) for the 19" with 2ms but only 700:1?
I also heard that lower response times as in seriously low have more problems with colouring and other problems :/
It will be used heavely for gaming, movies and modeling, may use the DVI if my card supports it I can't remember, should do its a 6600GT.
I like the Samsung style and small bordering, no big fat ugly edges. Maybe getting the same monitor but in 4 or 8ms wouldn't be any different, I heard anything below 8 isn't noticable at all, 8 would be a lot cheaper than 2ms.
Thanks
