Before I pull the trigger on my next purchase, I was wondering if anyone could in fact verify for me a few things:

1. If I were to obtain all of this new-fangled equipment would the monitor run on one panel (3007wfp) with it's native resolution of 2560x1600? Currently, it does not scale and will only run full screen mode at 1280x800.

2. Do you believe that games would run in full screen mode? (Everquest II, WoW)

3. Does the equipment listed below appear to meet all/any requirements? Did I overlook anything?

The order I will be making is:
1. GPU - http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=190759

2. PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817702003

3. MOBO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131524

The rest of my system is an AMD FX-55, 4 Gigabytes Corsair's Finest, 2 WD Raptors in Raid 0. I know it seems lazy to ask, but I have passed this info across the eyes of many people I know and we all 'believe' it will work. I figured who better to ask then the people here.

Does anyone run one of these and can verify that the new order will be sufficient to make this baby purrrrrrrrr?

If you are going to try to run games on that monitor at full resolution, you will probably need an SLI setup. You didnt state if you were going to buy 2 of those cards, but I am assuming you are since you are getting an SLI mobo. That system should be able to game on that monitor with that resolution. The only other thing that may be limiting, is your processor.

You must have a dual-link DVI port on your video card to support resolutions above 1900x1200.

"You must have a dual-link DVI port on your video card to support resolutions above 1900x1200."

....I guess I am confused. This card is showing max resolutions of 2560 X1600. Will I need something else to make this work.

What other recommendations do you have for this system. I am open to suggestions. Are you speaking from experience or are you using some setup like this? As for gaming, I don't really care to run the system at 2560 X 1600, but I would like to run it on a higher resolution than 1280 x 800.

If I can clear anything up please let me know. I really want this monitor to be off its' 1280 x 800 stock reso.

Ok after a ton more reading, this site and others.....I have come up with this list of goodies I will likely buy:

1. Mobo (link below)
2. Video Card (link below)
3. Power Supply (link below)

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131540
2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814143062
3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817702003

How do you guys feel about this set up? I also run 2 gigs of Corsair 3200, AMD FX-55. I want something that I can expand into in the future, but I also want to be able to run this stupid monitor now. My price point is $800.00 for the upgrades. (/sigh)

Any other suggestions before I pull the trigger on this....very appreciative.

p.s. - The reason why I backed out of the Deluxe MOBO, was b/c it does not support two video cards in 16X SLI.

Ya, I looked at the 7950, but decided against it. I will snag (2) of the BFG 7900 GTXOC's instead.

Thanks for the input though!
