I, along with many other people, would greatly appreciate a FAQ for 20 inch widescreen lcds. These screen have become the most popular size, but information on them is all in seperate threads with most of the threads developing into a fanboy type situation in which information in them has become useless since most of it is unproven.

This FAQ could mostly encompass a direct comparison between the 20.1 monitors. Also, it could address many of the overly repeated questions.

I do not know enough about these lcds, but i am doing as much research as i can. Is anyone else interested?

I have used the search, but overall most of the information i found does not help very much. That is probably why so many questions are asked about this topic. It would help everyone if we were to make a FAQ with actual data, both qualitative and quantitative, instead of the current fanboy trend that is going on.

If everyone is uninterested in working on this can someone atleast point me in the right direction for choosing one of these monitors. The 2007 problem was fixed, but how does this monitor compare to the benQ and viewsonic?

I like the new edit thing, it works great

I have a BenQ. For the price, reputation and overall product I would say hands down get he BenQ. Shy away from the 2007, even though corrected. IMO, why risk the hastle ... when you know you will be receiving a good product in the BenQ.

Product link above is the monitor I purchased last week for my brother's system. It is a sheer joy to watch and game on.

so ill tell yall how it goes.

actually i just got it a few hours ago, and i love it. only problem is font isnt as crisp as i wouldve have hoped. and in the top right corner there is a little bit of light more so than the rest. no dead pixels and its over all pretty damn good. another thing is its only analog input instead of digital, but iono. my 7800gt doesnt mind running it. and no ghosting in games. it is 8ms response which isnt bad. i would recomend it if your going budget. like i said with words arent as crisp as id like could be becase my eyes arent as good as they used to be due to having a crt since i was 5 and staring at it for hours upon hours. but try to find a local store that has it and try it out. now i need a better video card :D
