2 lcd questions?

What do you think is best for gaming wide screen or normal and why? Anyone dislike widescreen for gaming and if so why?

if i decide to get a widescreen 2007fpw or 2407 fpw?
id probably get a 2007 cuz i dont want to spend 1 million dollars

I like widescreen gaming simply because it generally adds to the threatrical experience. I have a widescreen on my laptop and if a game supports it, it is that much more awesome.

As for which one, I would recoemdn the 24 inch.

I have the 2405 and have owned the 2005...I'll base my comments off those as I haven't used the 07 versions.

Going with the 2405 can be problematic if you don't stay up on your video cards because driving 1920x1200 is hard, but possible (and you don't need to go SLI/Xfire whatever, just higher end like 7800/7900GT or X1800 series)

The good thing with the 2405/07 though is you get a massive amount of screenspace (30% more than the 2005/07). Also, if you decide to add another monitor you can add a 2001/2007 and they'll line up pixel to pixel verticly.

The problem with the 2005/07 well not really any problems, just not as big, but they are significantly cheaper.

Basicly I think it comes down to how much cash you have to spend, You definetly won't be dissapointed with either though.

interesting im currently running the same gpu as you clocked at 510/1180 how well would that run the 24 inche and is the 24 inch really worth the double price tag?
