Hi,

First off, if this should go in the Classified forum instead, I apologize and mods, please feel free to move/delete this (please notify me though!) if it shouldn't be here. I didn't post this there because I have not decided on a final price and I would like to answer a few questions before I put it up for sale.

I have an extra Dell 3007WFP (30" widescreen LCD) that I'm looking to sell, but I live in Canada. I am under the impression that there are a lot of Americans that are interested in getting cheaper monitors since us Canucks just had a really nice sale on these from Dell Canada. What tariffs (if any) would be involved if it were shipped to the USA? I could sell it in Canada but it seems like it would be a faster process if I could include US buyers as well. Any info would be great! Thanks.

Ive heard of people marking items as gifts to avoid paying customs taxes or what not. Not sure if this is legal or if it actually works.

Legally they'll have to pay brokerage and duty/tax.

You could try marking it as a gift under $30, but I don't know if you'll get away with declaring the value of a 30" LCD as $30...

Okay thanks guys. Not sure if this is appropriate for this forum either, but would anybody be interested? Otherwise I will probably eBay it fairly soon. Thanks for the info.
