I'm in the market for a couple of 19" lcds.

I have my eye on a pair of 19' viewsonics, the VA902B and VA912B.

Newegg is currently running a sale on the VA902B which puts it about 10 bucks cheaper than the 912B.

I notice the ratio is better on the 902B (550:1) compared to the 500:1 of the VA912B.
The VA902B also has a better brightness rating.
Both are 8ms, and the rest of the specs match up pretty much the same.

If you were in my shoes which would be the better buy? I'm using it mostly for video editing and conversion, but you better believe I'll be sneaking in plenty of gaming time on these bad boys :)

If anyone has any suggestions/experiences with 19' monitors at a similar price I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks

Well I'm picking up my va912b today. The other difference between the 2 of them is, the va912b has a DVI connection where as the va902b does not. Either way I'm sure you would be happy with either one.

Just my $.02

Well I got it and man does it look great. My eyes are still trying to adjust to the size of it, compared to my old NEC 17". The size is shocking considering it's a true 19" viewable, where as my NEC had only 16" viewable. This is probably one of the best B-Day presents I've ever asked for.

why not just get a widescreen monitor?
