Hello,

I have been looking at getting a new PC for a while. And well, I dont seem to have enough money to buy and entire PC right now. So I thought I would just buy what I could now. I have already boughten a 200Gb Hard drive, and a DVD Drive and installed them into my current PC (a Dell, P4 2.4ghz, 512mb ram). And now I am tempted to buy this Rosewill R912E from newegg.

The Rosewill R912E is: 19", 8ms, 270cm 16.7million colors, DVI, Analog RGB, and D-Sub. Costs about $290 shipped -$40 Mail in Rebate. So about $250

Now I have a couple questions about this.

1) Can I watch DVDs, on it, without a PC?

2) What are the requirements to watch DVDs on it?(do I need a DVD player with DVI out?)

3) Is this a good deal, and a good screen?

Thank you,
Big Lon

1. Only if you can get the output from whatever device you are playing from to D-Sub or DVI. No S-Vid or Composite input.

2. Yes, or D-Sub (VGA).

3. It looks like a decent screen but I have doubts that it is a 16.7million colour screen. Even Rosewill doesn't list 16.7million, only "16 million". I'd say more like 16.2million dithered.
