View Full Version : This will blow your mind!
This appears to be new tech. However, not sure if this is useful for your average home user though. For business the possibilities appear endless

that is pretty sick.... although i do agree with you on that i cant really see the average home user taking advantage of it.. maybe aside from the weather one... but people can just turn on the tv for that.

Thats sexy. I want one. I wonder what the capabilities are if identical modules are placed together. Maybe a spanning across the modules?

 Awesome
if you think about it its not really crazy
think lcd touch screen that uses some sort of barcode to interact with the plates
basically a computer outputting certain video when lcd is interacted with

Looks incredibly useless for anything but use in futuristic films from hollywood.
*Wants one* *Thinks of price tag* *Cries*
Kinda weird.

ill stick with keeping it all on one big screen and not having seperate plates for every program
its different and cool, but as far as usefulness im not seeing it.

I think it's very cool and although maynot seem like much, I think that things like that and that crazy touch screen are very exciting for us end users, and here's why.
At first most of that stuff will seem to have a niche environment, but once it's capabilities are expenaded, it will just be like an added peripheral to make computing easier. I can totaly see having your screen be like that touch screen, but mainly controlled via keyboard mouse, and certain programs utilize touch as a secondary/tertiary input, and also having a second (or 3rd or 4th for some of us) screen with those platelettes to do things like photo editing or rendering or whatever.
here another one. This may have some home use.

Im honestly at a loss as to why there is a lack of 3d enviroments and input devices at this point..
but it looks like that last clip has potential..

I think its pretty neat, but home computing in it's current state has no real use for this technology. As soon as i saw the word sony, I knew I'd have to surrender my first born to get one of these things.
