lost AC97 on abit th7II-raid

I overclocked my P4 1.7 to 2.048 but I lost sound card device.

any help would be great.

Sounds like your PCI slot is not handling the extra speed.

What FSB are you at?

Clock back 'till it starts working again. Then that's as far as you can go.........

For CPU or Mobo specific help, chuck it to the appropriate thread......:)

I'm at 125 FSB my mobo is abitth7II-raid

Q. what about agp/pci settings 2/3, 2/4 or fix is that would help?

My AC97 in my ABIT st6 didn't like pci buses above 37.5MHz. Try and put everything at default and it should work, maybe.

I set AGP/PCI to fix mode 66/33 Mhz
