The second ATI would be your best bet even if the first one worked I'd pass on it simply because of the low memory, if you do a lot texturing and large scale scene rendering it could hurt performance a bit.
Uh doesn't Dell recomend this one Evga GEFORCE 7800GT 256MB PCIE?
Its listed under the 30". Does 2560 x 1600 pixels.

The Max res on that 30" is 2560 x 1600 pixels
Its a lot less then those others even from evga

Guess if its not a cad its no good to you.Sorry
EDIT: Never mind these are pci-e.

Oh man I missed that completly! (Sheepish)
Next month 7800 AGP version comes out that may very well support it. If it can wait.

I also noticed that 7800GT's (pci-e ones) don't support the res either. Perhaps once it's hooked up the card will see it. I wouldn't doubt that any current card out with the latest dets or cats would run it once it's connected via DVI. What card do you have now? I would wait and test it.

have you tried looking at the rendering cards, firegl, quadro and the matrox cards, I think they support higher resolutions,
Is the res the same as the apple 30in widescreen, if so I belive there is a type of 6800 you can get, I would check the apple site for their specs

I was like 90% positive you needed TWO video cards to run this.
no, you need a feature called dual link DVI(allows the image to be pushed out throw 2 dvi ports on the card

Ati 9600 pro PC & Mac edition will work. Only ~$190. Good enough I say.

I see, that's what I read, and I was under the impression that was the generic name for SLI/Crossfire/running two cards

I went with the ati, it clearly supported dual link and the resolution, PCIE wasn't an option unless i went with a brand new machine, which I didn't want to do. Also waiting a month for a card to release isn't an option in the business world. It needed to be done ASAP. Thanks for the input though
