best monitor for around $470 ?

was looking at the dell 2005 but they wont get it to me for another 10 days, anything else thats the same or better for this price , can go another 50 bucks i guess too.

Since i'm a crt fan i'll recommend the 24" widescreen FW900, though they're only available as Grade A refurbs nowadays. They can be found on ebay for around $320 shipped, or at azatech for $480 shipped.

People have recently "re-discovered" them and they're selling like hotcakes, and much harder to find now than they were 4-5 months ago.

Stumbled upon these next deals last night:

Azatech also has New/oem/overstock mitsubishi displays for a song. The high-end Diamontron 2070SB is going for $254 + s/h for beige, and the black 2070SB is $369 shipped free. The 2060 model is also unused/oem/overstock and going for a paltry $227 shipped free. They are factory overstock and were destined to be bundled with some dell/HP computer, hence the term "oem brownbox", but probably got auctioned off due to the rapid price-drop on lcd's in early/mid 2005 (lcd's were also heavily promoted, adding to the crt's demise). They aren't advertised as "new" because that would probably imply a full factory warranty and other stipulations associated with the phrase "new".

Remember these are creme-of-the-crop for crt monitors, with no native resolution limitations to boot, and ought to last a good 6-9 years ;)
