Which of these 21" LCDs is better?

This Gateway FPD2185W Widescreen (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Gateway-Monitor-FPD2185W-/sem/rpsm/oid/138525/catOid/-12965/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) or this Samsung 214T (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/Skusearch.hmx?scriteria=3808668)?

I already picked up the Gateway and I've been very happy with it. But the only thing that's sort of annoying is that it can't do 1200x1600. It can only do 1680x1050 which is not supported by some games. The Samsung can do 1600x1200 although it doesn't boast the widescreen abilities (which is also really nice for multi-tasking)

Would it be worth it to return the Gateway and pick up the Samsung?

The widescreen is just too awesome to pass up. My brother has one and its just sexy. I would keep it. You might be able to find more info about gaming with widescreens here:

I agree. And the widescreen format is the future, games are already starting to support it and it won't be long before it becomes the standard.

stay with widescreen, as stated, check out that forum, most games will have hacks if not native support.

Widescreen is the new wave.

grab the gateway, i just did and so far am not regretting it at all!
