Radeon 9800Pro and Dell 2405fpw

I'm looking to buy a new moniter and at the moment it looks like I'll be getting a Dell 2405. However, i was wondering if my Radeon 9800pro (128mb) will be enough tplay games on it. And if I do have to use lower resolutions when playing games, will it look horrible (worse than if i just used a smaller moniter).

Well I don't have that monitor but games don't look terrible at a lower res, just not as good as its native.
