Have you tried a different monitor? Does it POST? Does it Beep when you turn it on?
beep? no beep, but everything sounds right as it boots, post? can you tell without a monitor? and another monitor? only have one :( any ideas?

If it is POSTing correctly, you should hear a single beep shortly after it turns on. Is your internal speaker connected properly? Another sign that it is booting in the background, is HD activity on the LED. If you dont have any beeps, or and HD activity, then it is not POSTing. Do you have a friend with another monitor to test?
This is a new build, right? Try to power it up with the bare minimum. One stick of Ram, CPU, Video Card, and see if that works. If not, start by removing the ram and see if it gives you beeps, it should.
i'll check that i had my headphones hooked up on them and didnt have them on =/

It wont beep through the jacks on the back of the computer, there should be a small speaker inside the computer that is hooked up to the mobo that will beep.

if it's completely black and no video whatsoever, sounds like a video card issue
try another card, just go through the process of elimination

i knew that....
and yeah i'm thinking its a VC problem since i did hear a beep.
UPDATE: The monitor works, atleast on my main rig. But then again i tried another VC and it was a no-go, but im quite sure it is posting because of the beep, and as far as HD LED's, Don't have any (cheap case for the lose). Any ideas?
I assume since you said new for you, that some of these parts are used? IF the motherboard is, theres a chance something might be set wrong in the bios, so try resetting the cmos.
nope, all new and i tried reseting the CMOS and when i said new for me, i meant new because its Socket A and just kind of old, but all brand new. :)

I think it's the ram. It's probably not bad, but not fully compatible with your MB. I had issues getting the PC in my sig to fire up initially and it was because the shuttle MB didn't like the corsair memory. I was getting the same thing you are, a single post beep but only a black screen.
What I ended up doing was throwing in some PC2100 memory I had laying around into the MB on a temporary basis. That allowed me to get into the bios where I manually set the ram timings (the default is auto). Then I snapped in the corsair ddr and all was good.
Hopefully this will help, best of luck.

a single post beep but only a black screen.
I had that problem before, because the video card wasn't seated properly.
With an AGP video card, you're required to push down on the video card hard!

um i have had problem with an old monitor in my house, and when someone changes the resolution or the frequency, it gets all black.
So, have you tried running your new rig in safe mode?
If you can see, well change your resolution or frequency, because your current monitor/card cannot support such thing
HOpe this helps
