If you right click on the .inf file there might be an "install" option. I'm assuming you've tried that and it hasn't worked?

You probably also need to go to Device Manager, right click the monitor, update driver, have disk, then put in the location of the .inf.

Interesting. I tried to install this same inf file but had no luck from the device manager as it did not see the file. Any other ideas?

Thanks Tony, but it turns out the drivers are built into Windows XP.

You update the monitor INF through advanced display properties. Doing it through device manager never seems to work. Windows XP does have drivers for most current displays, but most monitor manufacturers still recommend using their INF's.

control panel/display/settings tab/advanced/monitor tab/properties/driver tab/update driver/browse to inf

Hey, that worked as soon as I loaded the inf file on to a floppy. I don't know if it made any difference, but I really wanted to try it our. Thanks.

Just an update now that I've had some time to play with the monitor with the new drivers, but it has made a huge difference in my available refresh rates, and resolution. Prior to this driver installation, I was limited to 85 hertz of refresh(for the resolution I'm using) and 1600x1200 of resolution. Now I can refresh up to 120 hertz and have higher resolution choices (of course not with that refresh rate). All in all it's a nice little improvement. Thanks again!

NP, having the manufacturers INF allways seems to help with refresh rates and stuff cuz windows won't recognize the monitors full capabilities until you have the driver in. This is that beast of a CRT you just got yeah ? I'm really considering getting another monster CRT. I'm not happy with any of my LCD's, and my 21" sony crapped out about a year ago. I'm using a 19" Diamond Pro now, it's nice, but bigger would be nicer :D.

I got this one for $99 plus $50 for shipping here (http://www.azatek.com/details.asp?iid=607). I'm very pleased with it and though it is a monster size, I prefer it to an LCD. It replaced a 19 inch Samsung CRT that had the old style rounded screen, which was bugging me. I'm very pleased with the unit even though a 22" picture tube only yields a 20" picture. That's still 2 inches bigger than what I had before and an inch larger than a 19 inch LCD.
