I currently have a Sony SDM-S71 from like 4 years ago or so, was pretty expensive back then. It's a 17" and looks like it's response time is 25ms. It's currently running with a eVGA 6800GT AGP at 1280x1024 native res.

I'm planning on getting the Dell 2001FP 20.1" Flat Screen LCD. I've started to play a bit of BF2 and usually play CS and stuff like that. Would the 6800GT be able to support the 1600x1200 from the 2001FP at decent fps? Or would I need a better video card? I think the 7800GT should support 1600x1200 at decent fps.

If I do buy it, I'm hoping for that Dell deal again, since I think it expires tomorrow or the next day.

The higher the res the harder the GPU has to work in 3D applications. The 7800GT would run 1600x1200 at a decept FPS, the 6800GT would get lower FPS.

Check out some of the reviews, anandtech iirc just reviewed quite a few videocards, i think for BF2 your 6800gt will be fine with everything turned on but I know FEAR can bring that card to its knees.
