Simple question.....Will an Lcd monitor work on any computer or do they have certain requirements?

some LCDs require a DVI plug (its digital output) while some use the regular ole 15 pin Dsub analog output. these may suffer from not as great of quality and crispness of the DVIs, caus it has to go from digital i nthe vid card to analog on the plug back to digital in the lcd, which isnt really needed (unless you dont have a DVI out). if you're looking to get one that is compatible with anything, look for one that has a 15 pin vga Dsub connector. then it should work with anything that you can use a modern CRT on.
Right, just make sure the LCD you get has the old style VGA (d-sub) connector. Most have it or have both DVI and VGA. Only a few have digital only connectors. For example, the Samsung 710N like my lovely wife is using would be a perfect choice if you are looking for a good 17 incher.
