I want a new TV and figure that on Amazon since the 26+" CRT's are pretty much HD ready anyway there was no point in getting a smaller non HD ready on. I don't really care about watching HD TV itself but playing games and watching a few dvd's on it so the better the image quality the better. So which of the following two is better? I like the Toshiba a little more but it's your call. I really don't want to pay more than $500 if I can help it so I felt these were the best for my buck. If I hooked up an Xbox 360 to either of the following I'd get a 1080i grade picture right?

I would buy the toshiba. I worked at bestbuy this summer and the Toshiba is one of the top sellers of HD CRT's in its size. It has great color and PQ. However, i would highly recommend you buy the tv from a store if you can. The only reason i say this is bc if anything does go wrong, you have someone you can call or go yell at in person, and that tends to get things fixed/replaced. If you buy online, you better pray that you get a tv in perfect condition despite being 130 lbs and being dragged through the country to your door.

Thanks man, that's what I was thinking except the only store that sells good TV's anywhere near my place is Walmart. And I don't think they carry any HD CRT's to my knowledge. If I go a little further I could probably snag one at Bestbuy like you though but it sure wouldn't cost $500, more like $700+ I imagine:(
