I was wondering is anyone using a TV tuner card / hdtv tuner in their computers and how is it? I may venture into that area soon.
i have a tv tuner card, the leadtek winfast tv2000xp expert version and its pretty kool. this obviously doesnt support HD, but it does well. u get clear picture providing u have a decent reception. below are some links of pics taken off the tv card.

Whoa! Watch out for lightning man. Just hope your antenna is grounded!!
I am doing some research right now and it seems most people say the " Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 " or the 500 is good. But these are regular tv. HDTV is something different though.. Stilll looking.

Here is for HDTV TUNER- I guess there is some new law passed about recording HDTV signals that went into effect on 06/01/05 ???

I'd suggest getting that ATI tuner. The law won't affect any of the older products, so you could always buy a used one on ebay. If you don't want to record tv, it won't be a problem either. I'm not sure about the details, but I think you can still record tv, but it will prevent you from recording certain copyrighted materials.
yeh of course the antenna is grounded lol. most homes in the uk use this type of atenna
