I am currently using two rather large CRT monitors for my rig. My biggest us out of the computer is for gaming. I am toying with the idea of getting one or two flatscreens to save space and use less power.
Is it worth making the switch? Would I notice much of a quality difference.
Some of the brand names that I was looking into were Samsung and NEC. Any recommendations?

I would definitely say it is worth making the switch since LCDs are more up to date and usually the picture is more crisp. Samsungs are great and so are Dells, I havent heard much about NEC's.

I checked out some of the Dells LCD and the Ultrasharp 2001FP 20.1" seems to be a good looking monitor. It does have S-video and composite inputs. Would be good with a PS2 or xbox.

I have the Dell 2001FP and highly recommend it. The native 1600x1200 resolution is just fantastic, and it is plenty big to make text readable at that resolution. I game on it without issue. The extra bells and whistles, such as the usb ports and various types of inputs, is just icing on the cake. If you have the patience you may want to watch out for the deals that Dell runs on this monitor frequently as you can save alot of money on it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definately keep this one in mind. I went to the dell web site and it seems like a good price.
