Hi all,
How do you hook up a laptop lcd to an video card on a pc? Any ideas?

Someone must have an idea. I want to take the lcd from my laptop and install it into my car. The lap top is a 2100cds toshiba. Im not sure which card I will use it might be my ati rage or aiw 64 mb.

I've looked into this myself and it's very pricy, if not impossible. The screen in a laptop doesn’t contain a universal connector, so the controller for each is proprietary. A standard DVI or d-sub card won't work.

I have seen a few places that sold pci controller cards that would run them but they are expensive and only work for certain screen models. You would be better off buying a small LCD screen that is ready to go.
