Just installed my new mobo, processor, powersupply, and a fresh harddrive. I assemble everything, throw in a geforce 2 mx PCI card for video and boot.

The system boots up, all lights and fans power, hdd is spinning, My monitor lights turn yellow. I push a button on the screen and it says it's in Power save mode, and to press a key or move mouse. I tried both of those, neither of them would wake my monitor up.

When I plug in the ps/2 keyboard, the three green LEDs flash for a second, then turn off, so I'm guessing my keyboard isn't being recognized? I've tried two differen't keyboards, and two different mice, none of which will wake the system up...

I checked all PSU cables (forton ax500 dual rail PSU...) and all are secure.. please help..

you have to change a setting in the bios that puts auto detect or pci as the main port for video
