i came across 2 tft monitors which are in my price range and was wondering which one would be better. it will be mainly used for casual gaming, watching tv via tv card and watching dvd movies.

Sorry, I have neither of those. I do however have the LG Electronics L1715S, which looks to be pretty much the same thing as the first monitor you posted, only the controllong buttons are a bit different. :o

I love the thing. LG has me for a good long time when it comes to LCD's now.

yeh i was leaning towards the second one as the specs are better, so maybe i should go ahead and order :D

Just curious - Did you end up ordering one of them? And have you gotten it yet? And is it freaking awesome?

yeh i got it yesterday and using it now. i've played fps games on it and tried out some dvds. the image is very good and have yet to see any ghosting. even in racing games there is no ghosting, so overall a very good monitor imo. btw the price has gone up since purchasing. i got it for £165 inc delivery but i think its a bit more now.
