No its not an LCD Decision this time, I already decided that.
This was recommended to me by a member here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815116003
And I found this

So what would you pick. I'm leading towards the viewsonic because I know there name, I don't know Avermedia. But my wallet is telling me to go with the Avermedia. I can't find any reviews, and picture in picture and picture quality is what I want. This is going on a 17" 8ms LCD.

you have a free PCI slot? there are PCI cards which are just as good of quality, take up less space, and less than half the price.

but what these offer is that I can use the LCD as a TV without having the computer on. I already have a TV Tuner. And FYI the good ones, cost as much or more than the ones I listed.

bump, nobody has an opinion?
It looks like the viewsonic has more options. Will you be using it for HDTV at all?

The viewsonic is sick! my friend would use it to watch TV while we were away at a militray academy. The quality is unbeatable and like u said its a trusted name with a good amount of Pixlepipelines.::Thumbup::

nope not for HDTV. The problem is when I compare them feature for feature, the Avermedia has the same features for 90$ less. But then viewsonic has the reputation and the two people that have seen it said it is great. Son1990 have you seen it in person and if you have, how is the delay between changing channels, is it noticable?

Is there a rebate or something for the Avermedia?
From what I see on those links the Viewsonic is only $30 more.

yeah there is no rebate. I just wish there were more reviews, nobody seems to address the items I want them to.
I would say go for the viewsonic. Only 30 bucks more and it has more features; maybe down the road you may have use for them.

I would get the Viewsonic, since people have said it's good. It's worth the $30 extra to not end up with a sub-par card. If that extra cost isn't worth it, then you've got your answer.
