i have 3 diff cables dvi

2 of them are the same with the one line w/o the 4 pins surrounding it

1 has the 4 pins surrounding it

the 2 w/o the 4 pins used to work fine until i tried over clocking my fsb earlier, they sent a digital signal

now they dont work so i tried the other dvi cable with the 4 pins and it works but is sending an analog signal

u think the dvi on my vid card is messed up?

hmm are you running PCIExpress bus over default clockspeeds?
Dont know if Intel915 chipsets have PCIExpress locked.

yah i asked be4 if i needed to lock my pci express and everyone here said i shouldnt =/ then after i encountered this problem i did a lil more research and i found that ur not supposed to o/c with pci-e =[

Well, does the DVI work fine at stock speeds; if so, that should explain that your OC is clocking the PCI-E bus too high. The PCI-E lock feature was created for reasons like this.

Let us know if stock speeds has the same problem as well.

didnt work at stock speeds

hm... ok i just exchanged the monitor with a new one... it works perfectly fine... is there anyway that o/cing can fry dvi port? o_O that would really suck... i think im gonna leave it at a decent fsb for now 225

I don't think that the cpu/ram OC can affect the DVI port on a video card, but then again if you can't lock your PCI-E bus I don't know. I've never heard of a video out port going bad b/c of an OC.
