So whats the latest and greatest in TV-Tuners?

I'm in the market again for a TV-Tuner, I forgot, how much I actually used it, seeing I don't have a VCR, and I went to tape a Red Sox Game, and realized oh no I don't have that anymore. So educate me. What am I looking for feature wise, chipset wise?

yeah been doing a little research on that, does the ATI need HDTV to work or will regular work? And what is this that the Hauppauge PVR250 has been discontinued and if it has what replace it?
