I BOUGHT AN LCD!!!!!!!! <3

Man, I'm freaking excited. I haven't had room on my desk since I moved, and my keyboard had to sit on my lap and that is gnawt kewl. Someone said in a post I read this afternoon "You really have to go out and decide what you like." So I went out to Best Bizzy and checked out their stuff. I saw this gigantic $900 Samsung 21" that I liked a lot.

Note: Best Buy sucks, every single monitor displayed the same images, and they were all SUPER low-res, so it was impossible to gauge what was good.

They had the 930B and this other Samsung that was like the 930B but a tiny bit brighter and it had a TV tuner. I don't watch TV and I get headaches unless the monitor is really, really dark.(40 contrast 40 brightness)

I <3 this monitor. Everything about it is good. Ghosting? NO.
None of that. The only issue is if I draw up a black screen it looks greyish white on the bottom. I guess that's called "bleeding."

Tell you what though, it doesn't matter.
-When was the last time you stared at pure black on your monitor?

$455 out the dizoor + an $80 mail in rebate = not a bad price all things considered. This monitor is super-thin too. Some of them are like 6" thick! bah, this is like 1.5, <3.

I guess 8ms is really really low, and considering those Dell monitors were $900 apiece for a 20" I consider this a much much better buy.

Biggest complaint? Where is the *******king DVI cable you cheap **********horse!?!

;) Don't mind me, I've been drinking(and winking evidently)

Buy this monitor, you will not regret it, you will thank me.

I didn't get a DVI Cable either but they're not that expensive to just buy another one. I don't have any problems with "bleeding". I got mine for $460 at frys without a mail in rebate. Great monitor though

You really have to go out and decide what you like.

Oh! That was my review. Samsung owes me a commission.

:welcome: from the 930B owner's club.

P.S. - From everything I have read basically any DVI cable will work. While there is ongoing debate about whether cable quality matters in analog applications there is no such debate regarding DVI applications. A DVI cable either works or it does not. There is no cable that will give you a "better" connection. In other words do not go out and buy a $100 MonsterCable. The $10-$15 generic ones will work every bit as good.

Very true; I tell people this all the time. Unless your going some insane distance, go with the least expensive cable you are comfortable with.

I'm going to get the Monster Cable. ;)

I'm connected at Best Buy, and one of the things I can get REALLY cheap is cables.

e.g. $30 not $100.
