Guys, big news! There IS a way you can get your L90D+'s to work in DVI mode AND have 75hertz!! Simply go to Windows update and select the Hyundai driver update and install it. Then you can go into your refresh rate selection and 75hertz will now be available!! Woo hoo!!

Good find. I guess you can run it at 75hz in DVI afterall. Though I don't know why...

Refresh rate doesnt help with LCDs. 60hz is plenty for any LCD. I am running my 20" LCD @ 60hz. I guess you can run it at that, but it isnt needed.
uh huh, and where is that exactly. i click on installation history and i'll i get is the security updates.

i run v-synch in games. 75 hertz would give me an extra 15 fps. :)
i found where it is.
looks like hyundai released the update in march. hopefully it works. thanks for the heads up.

That's the only benefit of being able to run that monitor at 75hz is if you used V-sync. Otherwise there is NO benefit as LCD's are not like CRT's in the sense that they do not repaint the sceen so many times a second.
60hz is plenty for an LCD, unless of course you're using V-sync in games, which I am not. :)
it doesnt work. sure you can select 75hz now, but the monitor still stays at 60hz even when you apply it. press the monitor's menu button to verify.
winston.... if i don't use v-sync in games i get horrible tearing.

Well currently on my Sony Trinitron 19" CRT I get no tearing in CS: S that's about the only game I play right now. I always have V-sync disabled..
Now I've heard with TFT's that tearing is a lot more apparent on them. My L90D+'s that I ordered have just arrived in my city and are on the trucks right now so I should get them today.
I'll let you know what I find with them compared to my Trinitron. I hope there isn't more tearing :(
you will have tearing above 60 fps in dvi. it sucks, but it happens. :(

Well that would suck because I have a 6800GT @ Ultra speeds so I'm above 60FPS 95% of the time....
I'll just have to see for myself, I know everybody has different results so I'm not going to get worked up about it.

I had the drivers installed for this monitor for awhile now, and have never been able to change it up to 75 or seen tearing... Are you sure that you're using DVI and not analog? It doesn't really make sense that you would be able to go above 60hertz even with drivers since it's not in its specs.

That's what I've been trying to say, the specs list it as 60hz @ 1280x1024 in DVI mode. You don't need anymore than 60hz on an LCD plain and simple.

Okay I can confirm that this does not work. I just got this monitor today and I've installed the driver and sure enough my options were: 60hz, 70hz and 75hz. I have it right now at 75hz and when I go into the monitors menu it still says 60hz. Regardless if you have it set to 75hz it's still at 60hz.
and I don't know what's with the talk of all this bad tearing, I hardly get any. This monitor is hooked up to my bro's comp and he's got a 9800PRO flashed to XT. There is some tearing but very little to none.

maybe it's just cs:source, never know.

Don't get me wrong, I still get tearing, I guess it's just not as bad as other people are describing. Meh... Doesn't bother me anyways...

IIRC, there is a frame limiter in the HL engine.
Reviving a dead thread because it interests me :)
How are u guys installing the drivers. I run the cd and nothing happens?
