2001fp or 2005fwp

I can get one of these monitors and I'm definently not going to get the 2405fwp. I game a lot and watch the occasional movie. Which one do you guys think I should get?

I got the 2005 and just love it. No dead pixels or backlighting issues and widescreen gaming is so sweet. I play HL2 mainly so I have an advantage over others cuz I can see more :)
My friend plays wow on his and it's sweet as well. I don't have time for much gaming so HL2 is pretty much all I play.

I'll put in another vote for the 2005FPW. I've never been happier with a single hardware purchase in my life. It is a joy to use... the picture quality is amazing. Widescreen is definintely where it's at. And mine also has ZERO bad pixels, and no backlighting problem.

It doesn't matter how crappy life gets from day to day... I don't need booze, drugs, or girls to solve my problems. My 2005FPW makes everything better, it is that good.

I also have the 2005fpw and I know that I am very pleased with it. It's a nice monitor with good respose time @ 12ms. 1600x1050 is a beautiful resolution as well. Not all games support WS resolutions and so take that into consideration when making this decision. I know that Far Cry, Half Life 2 both support the wide aspect ratios, but older games may not. Take that into consideration when making this decision. I hope this helps.

I have the 2005FPW, and like everyone else has said, it's stunning. I love mine; wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Put me down for a vote on the 2001FP. This is the first LCD I have ever bought and the second I have played on. So far I'm loving it, I matched this LCD up to a 6800GT and it seems like the perfect match.

ive got the 2001fp and love it. there are more total pixels on the 2001fp as well:
2001fp: 1600x1200
2405fpw: 1680x1050

I've gone from a 2001FP to a 2005FPW, and I haven't looked back. It's brighter, more vivid and gives you a wider field of view in games. The difference in pixels really is not an issue. And the screen appears SO much wider for it.

iv got a 2001fp...but for the price now id get a 2005fpw without hestitation - both monitors are awesome...the 2005fpw is just newer :)
