cleaning methods

i have a Dell 1730 FP 17" LCD monitor. it tends to build up a lot of dirt and dust on it from all of the lan parties I attend. is it ok to just use glass cleaner and a kleenex or kleenex and water to clean it off, or should i spend the extra money for some special lcd cleaner?

Personally I use glass cleaner diluted with water and a lint free cloth. I wouldn't use a Kleenex, they have a lot of lint, plus some have lotions in them.

sometimes the manufacturers have recommendations. On my NEC they say to use isopropyl alcohol which works great with a soft cotton cloth.

oddly enough the lens cleaner and cloth from lenscrafters works like magic
