Troubles with GF4 Ti4200

I have a BFG gf4 ti4200 card that seems not to work. bought this card about 7 days ago and have been tring to get the damn thing to work.. ok here is the SitRep. i get a blank screen on start up w/out beeps. mobo is a Asus A7v880 with latest bios. 480w psu.
not sure if anyone else has had this problem or what i could possible do. i know that the mobo works from the last card i had in it.(fx5200). bought this on ebay so it could be DOA. is there anything to look for? mods? or just scrap the card..

Try it in another mobo if you have one... Probably should've been posted in the Video Card section. Try resetting the CMOS on your motherboard, that's about all I can think of. Oh, does the fan spin on the video card or not?

yeah fan is working and i have tried it on an older mobo but that could be another problem all together. thanks for the reply.
and i will try this on the correct forum page..
