What kind of budget have you got for a display? Would you prefer an LCD or CRT? What kind of max resolution are you considering? Primary usage?

Here's a big cheapish CRT that doesn't totally suxxor:

Same 21"(20" viewable) CRT for a bit less, though I didn't look up shipping and I don't know anything about these guys.

The Hyundai L90D+ is the fastest gaming LCD out and its got really good color reproduction as well. It would make the perfect choice for around $400. I got mine for $369.99 from TigerDirect last week and i believe CompUSA is selling the L90D+ again for like $389. Newegg has it in stock for like $430 i believe.

So possibly a 19" LCD w/ solid response time(no ghosting) w/ a native res around 1280x1024. There was that deal with compusa for Hitachi LCDs. I don't know if it's still going on though. It was around $339 and appeared to be a fantastic deal. Additionally buying from somewhere like best buy, circuit city, office depot...etc would enable you to see the monitor prior to purchase. Always a plus with displays since display quality can be such a subjective topic.

This is considered the "best" of the current 8ms 19" LCDs being made. It's the same one that compusa had on sale (but that sale ended early last week). Most other resellers jacked their prices up, so $379 shipped isn't that bad. With tax the compusa deal was $360

Samsung 710N... best all around monitor... Still no ghosting, but overall better picutre than the 8ms suckas.. at least in 17"...

Of course the 19" is more of a toss up
