Why can i only set my ibm P260 to 60hz, when it says at 1600x1200 (my res) it can do 85Hz

i have amd 64 3200, msi K8T neo2, ATI x800 xt

Do you have the driver for your monitor loaded? The control panel should load all the refresh rates your monitor can handle at that res.
