I recently purchased a ADVUEU 723A 16ms LCD and was a little disappointed at the amount of ghosting I was experiencing. After trying a variety of things I was almost ready to send it back, but then I had an idea. I decided to get rid of the thin, dinky little vga cable the monitor came with and I went out and purchased a 9 dollar vga cable. To my surprise the ghosting was reduced by 50%! Although I still see slight ghosting it is far more acceptable than what I was seeing before.

So if you are unhappy with the amount of ghosting your lcd is producing do yourself a favor and get rid of the cable that came with the monitor and go buy a "real" one.

Sorry just to make sure I am clear here, you were using the VGA interface and not the DVI?

Just wanted to clear it up since there has been some debate on here whether or not a new cable makes a difference with DVI.

use DVI if it has it - there is often a SIGNIFICANT increase in performance simply because youe signal does not have to be converted from analogue to digital or vice versa.

Does your LCD have DVI and does your video card? if so use it.

P.S 16ms is simply a advertising trick and should not be the main deciding factor in buying an LCD.- it should contribute but not the only factor.
