How can you tell if your lcd as a dead pixel. Would it be a small white dot, or would it be black. Did some readings and used a black backround, grey, and other colors, and even when the system boots up, that single white dot on the lcd stays there.

How could it happen so fast, its a Toshiba laptop, barely 1year and a few months used.

LCD's are knwon for getting dead pixles. Thier is a limit for the amount of dead pixles until you can RMA the moniter. Im not how many it is as is varies for each manafacturer.

CRT moniters dont usually get dead pixles as often as LCD's, but it can happen mine has 1 or 2, i can RMA my moniter if i want Viewsonic said i could i just never got around to it.
