Hello guys,

This is my first time posting on OCForums so please don't bash me if I'm asking stupid questions. I got my Dimension 8400 with 6800GTO and 2005FPW few weeks ago. I'm amazed with the card and the monitor! However, I would like to watch my TV on my computer and I have Panasonic 27" TV that does not have S-Video. My friend today told me that they sell adapters to take care of that problem. Can you guys tell me what to buy or do in order for me to watch TV on my computer and take advantage of 2005FPWs PIP feature :)

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forums

Well, I'm sure there are several ways to do this, so here is one:

Use a VCR or cable/Sat box as a TV tuner. Hook your cable (or Sat antena Cable) to that device. Then use the s-video output and connect to your monitor. Make sure you power on the VCR etc.

I'm not sure if you could use the TV as it would need a video output. Every TV I've ever owned only came with video inputs.

Good luck

Yep I really dont think you could use your TV to send a signal to your monitor. What invisible hand suggested would work though.

Also you could purchase a tv tuner for your computer and watch TV on your monitor that way.
