That probably refers to its depth (footprint, as in how much space it takes up on a desk).

Yep footprint just refers to the space it takes up on your desktop.

Yes in this case it means it takes up about the same space as a 17inch monitor rather than a typical 19 inch. However it can also mean the space required for installation of a piece of software i.e. "NetBrowser 3XKPro has a hefty 0.5Gb install footprint"

It can also refer to how much RAM is allocated for a program.
